Pastor's Welcome

Agape Baptist Church exists to Magnify God as we seek to bring people to faith in Jesus Christ and Membership in His church; to develop them in obedient Maturity as we equip them for their Ministry in the church and their Mission in the world.

Agape (ah-GAH'-pay) is the Greek word for God's divine love. This word expresses the selfless love of God for his people. It is an unconditional love for others, love that accepts everyone for who they are. This is the same love that God expressed for us through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 13 describes agape love; "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things. Love never fails."

We want to share God's Agape love with you.

We are located at 78 Dick Hayes Road in Scottsboro, Alabama. Each Sunday morning we begin with Sunday School at 9:00 a.m., followed by our celebration service at 10:15 a.m. Our Sunday evening service begins at 6:00. We have an exciting time on Wednesday nights at 6:00 with our AWANA children's classes and adult prayer meeting at 6:30. Please feel free to visit anytime. You are always welcome at Agape.
