Bruce Crockett,
Director of
Agape Student Ministries
As I said last month, this is my favorite time of year. We are about to see the trees and leaves change even more, and the weather get even colder (hopefully). I am excited this month about our Disciple Now Weekend. This is a time for us to get together to fellowship, focus on God, and in turn grow in our faith. I encourage all of our students to participate this year. Our theme verse is Revelation 2:4, "but I have this against you, that you have forsaken/abandoned your first love." Gary Permenter (garypermenter.org) from Columbus, MS will be sharing with us from God's word how we can keep God first in our lives. Brandon Burch, a dear friend of mine, is gifted with the ability to sing and lead in worship, and he will be coming to lead us in worship through music for the weekend. He is finishing his last year of seminary at Mid-America, and he is serving as the Senior-High Minister at FBC Millington. Parents you could get a "free" weekend away from your student(s) for only $30 each, and students you could get a vacation from your parents for the weekend for only $30. The students will be staying in host homes for the weekend so you will drop them off on Friday at 5:30 pm, and you can take them home Sunday after church. Any additional questions feel free to ask.
Trust in Him,
Bruce Crockett
