Book Review:

On March 8, 2008, my life was forever changed as my mother left her earthly family and went to be with Jesus. Being by my mother's side during her last hours gave me the blessing of actually seeing her spirit leave her body. The window shade was closed in the bedroom but at that moment it was if sunlight beamed in and cast a beautiful glow across her face. I held her hand, kissed her check, and begged her to stay but she had gone to be with Jesus. I have no words to describe the pain and grief that flooded my soul that day but I remember just wanting Jesus to take us all home at that very moment-Heaven was the place I wanted to be. I'm finding comfort in prayer, encouraging words from my church family, talking with friends, and I've been reading.

The Agape Library has available, 90 Minutes in Heaven, the death and life experience of Don Piper. I didn't know exactly what to expect when I started reading the book and I wasn't sure how God would use it to ease my pain. However, I found a peace while reading Don's description of the love he felt during his Heaven experience and how he described the beauty and glowing luminosity of his surroundings. A great deal of the book spoke about his healing process after his vehicle accident and how the experience changed him and his ministry. As he says, "We are here because God's purposes have not yet been fulfilled in our life." One review puts it like this, "It's a wonderful and inspiring story that brightens your perspective, giving you a sense of security, clarity, and warmth." Visit the library and CHECK IT OUT!
