Music in Worship
The music of Agape is one of the highlights of the church. The Celebration Choir and Orchestra lead each week in songs of praise and worship. We use a variety of musical styles, blended together in worship to our Lord Jesus Christ. Here at Agape we enjoy the old and the new songs – both traditional and contemporary. We love to sing the great hymns of the faith. We are blessed today’s wonderful southern gospel songs, and the powerful new “praise songs” that are sweeping the Christian world in popularity. In all our music we understand, it’s not about us, it’s all about Him.

Celebration Choir
The Celebration Choir is open to adults and youth. Our regular rehearsal time is Sundays from 4:30-5:45. We sing in each Sunday morning service and most Sunday evenings. Extra rehearsals are called as needed, especially around special programs and events. It is expected for choir members to attend rehearsal(s) before singing in worship services or programs.

Celebration Orchestra
Our instrumental group is composed of a rhythm section, keyboards and wind instruments. This group is open to 8th grade and older by audition. Rehearsals are Sundays at 4:00.

Solos and Ensembles
We encourage the development of individual talents by solos and occasional small groups and ensembles. These rehearsal times are flexible in schedule. Soloists and those who provide special music are expected to support the overall church and music ministry. As these people are in front of the entire congregation it is expected that they maintain a Christian character and testimony that would exemplify a Christian lifestyle.

Children’s Choir
We have a summer children’s choir program that includes both music and drama. The musical is then presented at the end of the summer, just prior to school starting back. The rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings during the summer. The children also do a Christmas musical with drama. Rehearsals are on selected Sunday evenings at 6:00 during the Fall and extra rehearsals as needed.
